This is the first of our year-long examination of the principles outlined in the Unitarian Universalist Association Covenant. Service leader Doris Bergen will discuss the first principle, which asserts that UUs affirm and promote “The inherent worth and dignity of every person.” We will think both about the meaning of that statement and about the ease or the difficulty we may encounter in trying to live up to that principle.
