Samhain

Samhain is a Pagan Sabbat and Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year. The old year has passed, the seeds sown during spring (Beltane) have been harvested, cattle and sheep have been brought in from the fields, and the leaves have fallen from the trees. The earth slowly begins to die around us.  The wheel of life has turned.  It is now time to look at wrapping up the old and preparing for the new in our lives, to honor those who have passed, and to celebrate the eternal cycle of life during the Samhaim Sabbat. This is an intergenerational service.  Service Leader: Genevieve O’Malley Knight.
