Sunday Zoom Service: Diane Wright Smoke Signals: Taking Hope from The History of Tobacco Use. 

On May 16, 1988, Surgeon General C. Everett Koop released the Surgeon General’s Report on Tobacco Use, which reported that nicotine was as addictive as heroin.  It was a watershed moment in the long history of tobacco marketing and tobacco use in the United States.  We’ll reflect on how far we’ve come, and what these significant changes might teach us about the recipe for social change.  Service leader: Doris Bergen.
