Reflections on the story of Shoichi Yokoi. On January 24, 1972, two men checking their shrimp traps along a small river in the jungles of Guam encountered Shoici Yokoi. Several World War II Japanese soldiers had been left behind on the Island of Guam, and Shoici was the last survivor.
