Throughout history, the stories of women’s lives have inspired us. Many of these were compiled by Hillary Rodham Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, in a book entitled GUTSY WOMEN: FAVORITE STORIES OF COURAGE AND RESISTANCE. Using some of their ideas as a guide, we will share a few women’s stories today. This Sunday the focus will be on Eleanor Roosevelt, Ida B. Wells, and a local writer, Helen Hoover Santmyer. The “story for all ages” will feature Ada Lovelace, early inventor of the computer. Service leader: Susan Trasher. (This topic will be covered in two parts; part two on November 29.)
